Fire Hoses

The Harrisville Fire Department is a combination fire department consisting of volunteer staff, career staff, and per diems.  All of our firefighters and EMTs receive training.  We respond to an average of 300 fire calls and 650 emergency medical calls per year to our primary response area, the village of Harrisville in the town of Burrillville, Rhode Island, as well as surrounding villages, towns, cities, and states.  The departments consists of a Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, two Captains, five Lieutenants, a Safety Officer and EMT/Firefighters.  We operate out of one station, utilizing two engine companies, one aerial/ladder company, two ALS transporting rescues/ambulances, two brush and two support vehicles.

We pride ourselves on providing quality fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. We conduct fire inspections and plan reviews.  These are completed by the Department fire marshals.  Also, fire prevention activities are conducted in the community under the guidance of our Fire Prevention Officer.
